Diploma in Management Studies (DMS) / Pre Masters of Business Administration

Introduction

The Post graduate diploma in Management studies is recognised for MBA admission in several universities in the UK and abroad.students are recommended to take the DMS to improve their skills and gain some experience required by all universities prior to the MBA.

APS business Department has a reputation for excellence in business management. The DMS in Business Administration is the foundation to the premier business qualification demanded by the discerning employers. The programme is designed to develop analytical and communication skills in the field of Banking and Business with an emphasis on International Trade. This also applies in the DMS specialising in Hospitality Management. This programme will enable you to get a direct entry to a full time MBA programme at several Universities.
Successful completion through examinations and dissertation will entitle the student to a DMS. The DMS requires 100 credit units beyond Bachelor level including the project.

Each of the modules (core and elective) is worth 10 credits units and the dissertation is worth 10 credit units.

DMS Hospitality Management

To satisfy the requirements for the award of an DMS in Hospitality Management candidates must:

Satisfactorily complete 9 modules consisting of 5 Core modules and 4 hospitality Management Electives, from the list below. In addition students must complete a 7000- 8000 words dissertation on an approved Hospitality Management subject.

Entry Requirements:
Holders of a degree in any discipline. Students who do not have a degree but possess an acceptable professional qualification may also apply to join the programme. A two-year work experience in the relevant field is preferable but not essential
