Air Travel Training

The Air travel courses can be taken individually each providing essential skills, training and qualification recognised by IATA for those working or intending to work in airlines or travel agencies.

Examinations

On successful completion of the course a diploma will be awarded by the Academy of Professional Studies and Diploma/certificate from external examination bodies such as IATA/VIASINC, which are internationally recognised.

APS is recognised by the IATA, VIASINC, BTEC, LCCI.

IATA/UFTAA/VIASINC FARES & TICKETING*

This is a unique new course recently introduced by IATA and its partners. The course includes IATA Fares and Ticketing Modules 1 & 2 and Advanced Fares & Ticketing. The course fee includes examination, tuition, books and certificates from IATA. This course is highly recommended for those who wish to finish their course in a limited time period. For this course we need a minimum of one week advance enrolment.

Computerised Reservation and Information Systems are now an integral part of the Travel & Tourism Industry. The computerised system allows the travel agent and airline staff to provide fast, accurate and up-to-date information to their customers. Students will be able to learn every aspect of the Galileo/Sabre/Worldspan/Amadeus/Abacus/Marsha systems through a series of practical exercises and tests. Students who pass the final examination will receive an IATA Certificate(10 points).

Marsha- computerised Reservation System

MARSHA is a central data based system, located in Washington DC. The hotels and reservations centres are tied into this computer via telephone lines. This means all users share the same information.

A vast pool of information is stored in MARSHA. MARSHA will allow each hotel to control its inventory of rooms available for booking. This course is designed to teach you how to operate a MARSHA terminal in hotels opposed to a reservation centre.
The courses consists of:
Twenty-two Lessons
Ten Exercises Five Quizzes
One Final Test

There are three types of instruction which will be integrated throughout the course:
(1) Computer-based instructions (CBI)
(2) Simulation
(3) Testing
Each exercise will present you with five imaginary hotel booking situations, you might encounter working in an actual reservation centre for hotels. When you have completed the course, you will take a final test.
